With modest beginning in the spring of 2015, Universal Cancer Conquest was born to address the pressing needs of the cancer patients. How does the patient handle the illness, How does the family handle the trauma? How does the neighbourhood react to the patient and the family? How are children effected?, What are the pain points? How can these issues be addressed? Piles of paper, sifting through ideas, drawing up routes for action plans, discussing case studies of real people, real patients, classifying the personal issues from family issues and social issues; A model of cancer care emerged. The emergence of the Model
A thought provoking cancer patient case! A discussion! What can be done? Is this what every patient goes through? Why cant we do something about it? The emergence of providing 'care, strength, solace' not just to the patient, family but also to the society! Yes cancer is not infectious, not contagious, not a social disease. It is just a case of body and systemic reaction to an adverse trigger. Much like cough or cold.

Value and Collaboration
Armed with a simple plan, the promoters shared the thought process with select patients and their loved ones. A visit to a few hospitals, discussion with Onchologists and social NGOs working for cancer helped in clarifing the needs and wants. Soon the collaboration process to find tune the MODEL of Cancer care was in place.

Transformation
Every Journey begins but with a single step. Working with Deccan Multi-speciality Hospital (Shivaji Nagar), Pune. A small modest team. Sharing the passion of the goal to conquer Cancer! Building the organisation, creating use-case, training self and others, the Model of Care soon began to shape up. Overcoming hurdles and teething troubles, the model was warmly received by every stakeholder.

The UCC Cancer wing at Deccan Multi-speciality Hospital (Shivaji Nagar) begins full-fledged operations, providing faster and easier access to patients in the Pune Area. Diagnostic Services
One of the primary needs in cancer screening is diagnostic services. The assurance and confirmation of a diagnosis, coupled with a Joint-clinic services adds complete value to cancer survivorship. UCC added several diagnostic services for the benefit of the patients.

Consolidation & Expansion
With the consolidation of the First UCC center and addition of essential services, & essential teams, UCC focussed on reach and outreach to the community with screening camps and additional UCC centers. A new UCC center was opened at Sanjeevan Hospital, Karve Road, Pune, extending reach to patients in the Pune Area. Additionally, MOUs were signed for 3 other locations in Pune. We feel what you feel

The Regional Office
With 2 operational UCC centers in the Pune Area, and a few more centers in the discussion stage, UCC opened UCC Regional office at Pune. Centrally located at Deccan Gymkhana, the office staffs the entire operations team to plan and grow the reach of UCC across the country.

Pharmacy Services
The acceptance of UCC by the patients and the medical fraternity, helped create survivors! UCC services added Pharma to the list. Stocking of important and much-needed pharma and nursing aids became necessary. Knowing the requirements of every patient and stocking their essential regular supplies re-assured the patients and their family.

online Expert Opinion
With the growing inquiries for cancer diagnosis and confirmation from various parts of the country, UCC decided to provide 'online opinion' to needy people and their family. UCC created an online portal Expert Opinion by UCC (e.o by UCC). The expertise and experience of the UCC medical team, is now available to who so ever needs it, at the click of a few buttons, from their own comfort zone. Additionally, Alliance Munot Hospital, Swargate (Pune) opened a UCC center.
